Celebrate the 4th of July in Style with the New Buick Cascada

There’s just something about riding in a convertible that spurs a feeling of freedom. Whether it’s the wind whipping through your hair, or the presence of a beautifully open sky above, there is no better way to celebrate the 4th of July than driving in a brand-new Buick Cascada. What makes the Cascada your best pick for a classy car with a convertible top is that Buick manages to add an extra element of quality. The company’s only version of a drop-top effortlessly provides a look and feel (mostly due to its roomy interior and high-powered engine) of stability and control. In the Cascada you are driving something that will last, not only in performance, but in looks as well. And this reassurance and reliability make the Buick Cascada your best choice for fun, summer drives.

A Brief History

wheels

The Cascada was first produced in America in 2016. This is the first convertible made by the Buick Company since 1991, and focuses more on personal luxury and performance. The goal was to create a modern convertible capable of maneuvering and operating at much higher levels than most other similar models on the market. And because of its expert craftsmanship, the Buick Cascada has already, within the span of roughly two years, become a direct competitor to other top-end luxury convertibles, such as the BMW 4-Series and the Audi A-3 Cabriolet.

Take a Closer Look

The intricate interior design, plus Buick’s signature line-work around the exterior, create one smooth-looking sedan. And due to its well-placed curves and edges, the Cascada looks smaller than what it really is. Its mass weighs in at something like 4,000 pounds, and once you get moving down the road this weightiness pays in. You feel secure, grounded to the surface yet at the same time zooming down the road. The sturdy frame also keeps the Cascada from any tire wiggling or body shaking when moving at high speeds. And that’s a big deal in a convertible, because when you own a vehicle that has a drop-top, you end up punching it a bit.

Under the hood of the Buick Cascada is a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine with 200-horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. That’s quite a mouthful, and quite a hood full of power! And its 6-speed automatic transmission is perfect for summer night cruises to go watch fireworks or even a stroll down some old country roads.

Buick Cascada

The interior of the Cascada is roomy, comfortable, and luxurious. The two front seats offer plenty of room and an elevated position. For long trips the plush cushions provide maximum support, and because the seats are positioned a bit higher than most other convertibles, you can see the road easier in front of you. The back seats are surprisingly comfy and roomy too, even if there isn’t as much room back there as in the front. And operating the convertible top is quick and easy. Simply pull the lever on the console and the top will open or close within 17 seconds. And you can do this while driving at 31 miles-per-hour or less. There is also a single lever to roll up or down all four windows at once in case you get caught in a quick summer rain and need fast cover.

Some impressive features to the Buick Cascada include leather-bound trim, a heated steering wheel, remote start, rear-parking sensors, eight-way power front seats, and a rearview camera. Upgrade to the Premium trim level and there’s even more to celebrate with power-collision warning, lane-departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic headlights. The Cascada’s front panel includes a 7.0-inch display screen that holds, among many other impressive devices, Buick’s famous Infotainment System. It also employs 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, text-message alerts, and Siri Eyes Free compatibility.

Buick Cascada

The newest color options for the Buick Cascada include Sport Red, Blue Metallic, Flip Chip Silver Metallic, Deep Sky Metallic, Toasted Coconut Metallic, Summit White, Ebony Twilight, and Smoke Pearl Metallic. Obviously plenty of options to choose from, and all showcase the excellent line-work and overall shape of the sporty sedan.

Top Reasons to Drive a Convertible

A fun 4th of July spin around town to find a cool parking spot to watch the fireworks is perfect in a convertible. But there are even more reasons to drive with the top down. Here are just a few:

  • It’s easy. Especially in the Buick Cascada. It doesn’t take much to drop the top or even pull it back up. As previously mentioned, in the Cascada it only takes a quick pull of one easy-to-find lever to move the top in either direction. And you don’t have to be at a complete standstill, which is nice if you change moods or experience an abrupt weather shift.
  • You can see better. That’s right, when the top is down in the Cascada you don’t have to worry that pesky blind spot created from the roof support column in the back. This means easier parking, fast lane changes, and a more relaxed driving experience.
  • Extra room. For the passenger in the Cascada, once the top is down, it is encouraged to lean your seat back and stretch out. Go ahead, throw those hands in the air. And for the driver, enjoy the extra headroom. Not that the Cascada lacks at all in this area when the top is on, but now your free to sit as tall as you like.
  • It’s an easy way to have fun. You can’t deny it, there is just something about moving in a vehicle with the air coming at you and sweeping across and through the interior of the car. It is exhilarating, safe, and a quick way to place anyone in a good mood.

So, you are ready to enjoy the 4th of July in your new Buick Cascada. But, just before the big day arrives, here are a few safety tips to make sure your holiday is perfect.

  • Wear sunglasses. It may go without saying, but sunglasses are a must in a convertible. The glare, the wind…you get it.
  • Bring a hat. Always have a hat somewhere in the car, even if you don’t plan on wearing it. You never know when the sun will break out of the clouds or the wind will pick up. Having some way to combat the effects of both makes driving easier.
  • Never leave your Cascada parked with the top down. Besides the possibility of it being robbed or vandalized, you don’t want the sun beating down on your plush seats and dash for hours at a time while you are not moving. Plus, you never know when a bird will fly over and…well, you know.
  • Have a jacket and gloves at the ready. It might be sunny and hot this 4th of July when you take off, but the weather can change at any moment. It’s nice to have layers and gloves available for you and your passengers just in case a sudden chill moves through the air.

Regardless of where you plan to go this Independence Day, make your journey in a brand-new Buick Cascada. You will be glad you did.

With a roomy cabin, a tough exterior, and the smoothest ride you will receive in such a powerful machine, the 1500, 2500, and 3500 models have grown to be some of the most popular in today’s market. The Sierra trucks have proven GMC’s quest to create a tough yet luxurious vehicle true, and for countless enthusiasts the Sierra is the only truck worth driving. At Liberty Buick GMC, we think pretty highly of the Sierra as well. That’s why we always stock our lot with those of the most popular colors and trim levels.

Sierra

Buying a Truck: First Thing’s First

Before you go to buy a new Sierra truck, it’s important to think about how you will use it. The 1500, 2500, and 3500 all have unique components, which make them a perfect match for different types of truck drivers. Here are a few things to consider when deciding on your Sierra:

  • What sort of things will you be carrying and hauling? If you only need the truck for around the house (hauling mulch, pulling a small trailer, or even some fun off-roading), you might consider a light-duty truck with four-wheel-drive. On the other hand, if you need to carry heavy loads and pull big pieces of equipment, you might consider a heavy-duty truck, maybe even a dually which has four wheels in the rear. And there’s also the mid-duty truck that isn’t quite as extreme as the heavy-duty, but can do more than a light-duty. This level of truck is nice for those who will mostly use it around the house, but occasionally will need it for some big jobs.
  • Just as important as choosing the right size of truck is finding the right engine. The advancements in the modern truck have made it a bit more powerful than that of the old days. Now, a 6-cylinder truck engine can out-perform just about any older V-8. And the modern V-8? Well, these are nothing but raw power and can pull and carry just about anything. Heavy-duty, mid-duty, and small-duty trucks can differ in engine sizes. A small-duty truck usually comes with either a 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder engine, and a mid-and heavy-duty can be a 6 or an 8. Again, just depends on how you plan to use your truck.
  • Another thing to think about is the cab size you will need. A regular cab offers a single row of seating and can create tight quarters for three passengers. A crew-cab, however, has two rows of seating, offering extra space and is more comfortable for longer trips. The size of the cab also affects the length of the bed. The less cab room, the more bed space. There are special cases when you can get an extended bed, which offers the best of both worlds, but this will add length to the truck as a whole, which can take some getting used to.

It can be a lot to think about, but there’s no reason to stress. If you find yourself struggling to decide between the right truck, we can help. Let’s take a closer look at the Sierra 1500, 2500, and 3500.

The Sierra 1500

 Sierra

The base level of the Sierra 1500 has a 4.3-liter, 6-cylinder engine with 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. It can tow up to 7,600 pounds and reach a speed of 60 miles an hour in around eight seconds. Pretty impressive for a base-level engine, huh? But, if you find the need for a little more power, GMC still has you covered with the 1500. Sierra drivers can opt for the 5.3-liter, V-8 engine, which offers 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. And regardless of the engine size, all Sierra 1500s come with a tow/haul mode transmission and tap/shift controls. These controls make driving and distributing power much easier no matter the size of the load being carried.

Comfort and handling are exceptional in the Sierra 1500. There is the option for rear- or four-wheel drive, and the front strut and rear leaf-spring suspension offer an extra smooth ride no matter how many wheels are pushing you along. But, to truly understand the effect of the leaf-spring suspension you need to take the 1500 for a drive, preferably on a rough road or rigid path. You will be amazed at how well the suspension takes any pothole or bump and translates it as smooth, easy driving. In addition to an undisturbed ride, 1500 drivers will enjoy the crisp steering that allows the Sierra to easily make its way around sharp corners and fit into tight spaces.

It’s not only the drive components providing a comfortable ride either. Inside the roomy cabin, the Sierra 1500 is filled with soft materials and pleasing aesthetics. The aluminum and wood trim pieces throughout the inside give of a sense of luxury, while the plush seats and polished dash create a comfortable, happy environment.

The Sierra 1500 is surprisingly tough and pleasantly high-end. It offers superior comfort and power for being considered a mid-duty truck. This is a perfect choice for the truck driver who needs something tough, but doesn’t quite need a machine to pull super heavy loads on a daily basis.

Sierra 2500

Sierra

Though the Sierra 2500 shares many of the same aspects as the 1500, it does have more power. It also sits a little higher off the ground than the 1500 and offers different body configurations, such as regular, extended, and crew cab models with bed sizes of 6’6 or 8’ in length.

The Sierra 2500 comes standard with a 6.0-liter, V-8 engine with 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Yes, this is the base level of the 2500! And if you still want more strength in your Sierra, you can go for a 6.6-liter turbodiesel V-8 engine, which can handle 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque.

Like the Sierra 1500, the 2500 comes in rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, as well as, the expert rear leaf-spring suspension. The cabin to the 2500 is arguably the nicest interior made for a heavy-duty truck. Thick leather seats, tasteful metallic accents, soft-touch materials, and plenty of storage compartments make this cabin tough to beat. Add in the hands-free connectivity and advanced navigation system and you won’t want to leave.

The Sierra 3500

Sierra

Biggest and baddest of the Sierra trucks, the Sierra 3500 comes standard with a 6.0-liter Vortec 6000, V-8 engine that blows away its competition. And for extreme power, GMC offers the 3500 with a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo diesel V-8 engine that can pull your house off its foundation and drag across town if you like. Well, maybe not that strong, but it’s definitely the most powerful truck in its class. This extra heavy-duty truck is built to work with its 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque. And it comes with all kinds of bonus features:

  • StabiliTrak (keeps the truck from rolling) and four-wheel anti-lock brakes come standard.
  • OnStar comes standard with trims SLE and up.
  • Automatic crash response, turn-by-turn navigation, and stolen vehicle and roadside assistance come free for the first six months.

And there’s more. Built-in 4G LTE connectivity, the IntelliLink touchscreen interface, and an Allison automatic transmission make the Sierra 3500 the envy of every heavy-duty truck driver.

Commitment to Excellence

GMC’s commitment to excellence is apparent in all three Sierra trucks. And once you find the model that fits best, let us take you for a test drive and answer any questions you might have. Plus, you won’t find a better price on a GMC Sierra truck anywhere other than Liberty Buick GMC. Come see us today!

Buick Encore VS. Audi Q3

By Libby Lucas

Buick Encore

So you have finally decided to invest in a luxury compact SUV vehicle but don’t know which car to choose? And the online car marketing is so confusing!

There dozens of cars in the compact and SUV market to choose from but once you narrow it down you will probably find that the Buick Encore and the Audi Q3 come to the top of the list.  They both have top-notch features including advanced technology, LED headlights, fold-flat second-row seats, moonroof, rearview backup cameras, and the list goes on with tons of luxury features. But starting with the price there are some major differences that you should take into consideration.

Buick Encore

Audi Q3

  • Starting at $22,990
  • Estimated MPG/Hwy 33
  • 1.4 Liter Turbocharged Engine
  • 18.8 ft Cargo Space, 48.4 ft with Seats Down
  • Stabilitrak- quick brakes, traction control, reduced wheel spin
  • 5-Star NHTSA Safety Rating
  • Staring at $31,800
  • Estimated MPG/Hwy 28
  • 2.0 Liter Turbocharged Engine
  • 16.71 ft Cargo Space, 48.2 ft with Seats Down

The Car Connection ReportsThe 2016 Audi Q3 gives compact luxury SUVs a good name with cozy ride quality and accommodations—but it’s not the most space- or fuel-efficient vehicle of its kind.

The Audi Q3 and the Buick Encore look very much alike and have similar features that draw attention. But the Buick Encore is priced at a more reasonable and affordable cost. The Buick Encore not only has a starting price that is over 8,000 dollars less than the Audi Q3, it also has the ability to save money over time with an outstanding gas mileage that wins over the Audi Q3.

We also felt that the safety standards for the Buick were set higher than Audi.  The Buick Encore has a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA. This is outstanding and can give families a little peace of mind. Safety isn’t just for children, it’s for everyone. The Buick Engineers are proud to provide safety not only for the children that ride in the back seat but also for the adult that seat in the front. That’s why the Buick Encore is safe for everyone and a great vehicle for families, new drivers, and retirees. No matter who you are you can feel safe in a Buick!

To take a test drive in this awesome Buick Encore go to Liberty Buick GMC in Matthews, North Carolina, serving Weddington, Ballantyne, and the greater Charlotte area. Call to schedule an appointment to get more information on the vehicle at (704)708-8000.

Safety

Your safety means a lot to us at Liberty Buick GMC. That’s why we believe you have more than luck on your side when you decide to drive a Buick. With celebrated, state-of-the-art safety features, the entire 2017 Buick lineup keeps you and your passengers the safest. Add Buick’s expert performance, its luxurious style and comfort, and you might just have the perfect automobile.

Buick receives praise every year for its high safety ratings, but this year the venerable car company has gone above and beyond. And it’s already being noticed. U.S. News & World Report gave the 2017 Buick LaCrosse a 10 out of 10 safety score and ranked it as one of the top three safest in large cars on the road. (Photo of the 2017 Buick LaCrosse.)

And that’s not all. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has given all six 2017 Buick models a 5-star overall rating in safety for the third year in a row. That’s right, every single 2017 Buick model comes with 5-star safety. How about that for peace of mind when purchasing a new vehicle!

A Closer Look at Buick SedansSafety

So, what is it that makes Buick sedans so safe? Turns out it’s a lot of things, actually. A lot of things working well. Take, for instance, the 2017 Buick Verano. (Photo of car.) It comes standard with ten airbags and OnStar Automatic Crash Response. And for extra safety, drivers can add rear cross traffic alerts, lane departure warnings, rear park assist, forward collision warnings, and blind-spot monitors.

There’s also the always-classic Buick Regal. (Photo of car.) This year it comes standard with front and rear parking sensors and a rearview camera. Plus, you can add all sorts of other features to make your Regal even safer.

And let’s not forget the 2017 Buick LaCrosse with its 10 out of 10 safety rating. (Photo of car.) Blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic park assist, ten airbags (including knee airbags in the front seats), these are just a few of the safety features for the LaCrosse. There is even a rearview camera that displays crystal clear images on the 8.0-inch display screen.

SUVs

If you need something a little bigger, a bit higher off the ground than the sedan, Buick offers the same high level of safety in its SUVs. The fashionable 2017 Buick Encore comes standard with a rearview camera. (Photo of SUV.) It also has Bluetooth connectivity, which connects you to GM’s OnStar telematics system. This intelligent technology provides Directions and Connections service so you can remote start your Encore, program destinations, and many other options to get you safely where you need to be. You can also add all-wheel drive, blind-spot monitors, rear park assist, lane-departure warnings, cross-traffic alerts, and forward collision warning.

The 2017 Buick Envision is incredibly safe as well. (Photo of SUV.) It comes with what Buick calls the Driver Confidence Package, which includes adaptive cruise control and automatic braking. It includes air bags a plenty with knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, side-mounted airbags throughout, plus the standard dual front and rear bags. And, of course, you can add-on features such as lane departure warning (a system that actually keeps you on the road by guiding the Encore in place), blind-spot monitors, and forward collision alert system, which warns you with lights and sounds if it senses a possible collision.

Driver Responsibility

Rather than rely on basic safety features and luck to keep passengers safe, Buick relies on state-of-the-art technology and skillful driving. And it’s important to note that no matter how advanced the safety features included in the vehicle, there is no alternative for the driver’s responsibility to be attentive and alert at all times. These developed devices are merely to aid the driver by making things easier through the use of warnings and driving assistance. A comfortable and informed driver is a safe driver. And safety is the most important aspect of travel. That being said, what are some of the most helpful safety features included in Buick’s 2017 lineup? Let’s have a look:Safety

  • Blindside Alert. This smart system works by waiting for a vehicle to enter your blind spot and alerting you of its presence through lights or sounds. May not seem to be that big of a deal, but actually it is. This system keeps you from having to turn your head to try and see if anyone is in your blind spot before you change lanes. How many times have you gone to switch over on a highway only to realize there is a small sedan or motorcycle in your blind spot? Wouldn’t it be nice to never have to look behind you, to never accidentally merge into someone else’s lane again?
  • Lane Departure Warning. This works from a camera mounted beside your rearview mirror that continuously watches the lines on the side of the road. Day or night, this camera can perfectly make outlines on either side of your vehicle. And once you cross one of those lines it sets off a warning. But that’s not all. Buick’s version of lane departure warning actually guides you back into place. The key word here is “guide.” It doesn’t take complete control over anything, it simply eases you back while you take control of the wheel and merge back in-between the lines. And it’s this little guidance that can save lives. It only takes seconds to accidentally veer into someone else’s lane, and this system reacts faster than the driver, giving you time to see what’s happening and continue to correct your vehicle’s position.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert. You know that tense feeling you get when you begin to back out of a tight parking space? It’s difficult to see behind you. Cars whiz by as you slam on your brakes. What if you didn’t have to worry about anymore? Well, with rear cross traffic alert you don’t. What this system does is uses a set of sensors around the rear of the car that can detect if anything is approaching from the left or the right. If it detects someone coming, it lets you know before you have to slam on the brakes. Of course, you still have to pay close attention when backing out of a space, but RCTA keeps you from worry.
  • Safety Alert Seat. One of the most advanced safety features on Buick vehicles is the safety alert seat. Created by GM, this seat vibrates at the seat’s bottom to warn the driver of a possible collision. This is a wonderful alternative to typical flashing lights and sounds as a warning system. With this system, all is quiet and calm. The vibration is activated by cameras in the front of the car, which are designed to measure distance and let you know when there is a crash risk ahead.

There are plenty of other safety features that are equally as impressive and could be mentioned here. And all of Buick’s safety systems work well together to aid in a safe driving experience every time you travel.

And Nick’s customers give him rave reviews!  A customer recently left this review on Facebook, “I would like to thank Nick Mainor for the time he spent with us during our visit. We were impressed with his overall knowledge of the vehicles. He knew where they were on the lot and the specs on the vehicles without having to look it up. You could tell he loves his work and does his homework ahead of time. We talked with several dealers and he was by far the best sales person we met. We never felt that he was “trying to sell us something”. We purchased a 2015 Sierra because of Nick and his caring personality. Thank you Nick, we will send you new customers. ”

Nick’s favorite GMC vehicle is the 2017 GMC Yukon Denali and his favorite Buick is the 2017 Buick Envision.

MID-SIZE LUXURY SUV

The 2017 Buick Enclave is the leader in the clubhouse of all mid-size luxury SUVs, thanks in part to its cross-generational appeal.

We all know how difficult it is to get parents and children to agree on anything. Whether it’s music, movies, or politics, we’ve all been part of those conversations at the dinner table where an agreement just can’t be reached. (Mom and Dad’s lectures on the brilliance of “The Godfather” or Prince’s albums fall on deaf ears to today’s youth who can’t sit through a slow-paced, 3-hour epic and would rather pick and choose single songs from iTunes rather than listen to a full album.)

But thanks to the 2017 Buick Enclave, there is something mother/father and child can fully appreciate in unison.

MID-SIZE LUXURY SUV

The reviews are in, and the 2017 Buick Enclave is getting universal praise.

  • The 2017 Buick Enclave is “comfortable and classy…and still looks regal”
    • Aaron Cole
    • The Car Connection’s Managing Editor
  • “The 2017 Buick Enclave, an upscale yet still practical crossover that undercuts luxury-branded rivals on price”
    • Edmunds
  • “The Enclave delivers one of the most comfortable rides in this class,”
    •  Joe Tralongo
    • Kelley Blue Book Contributing Editor

Liberty Buick GMC is the Charlotte area’s dealership of choice for all of your Buick needs. Liberty Buick has over thirty 2017 Buick Enclaves on the lot waiting for that family to come adopt them.

Take a look below at all three impressive trims.

2017 Buick Enclave Convenience– Quicksilver Metallic

2017 Buick Enclave Leather FWD – Ebony Twilight Metallic

2017 Buick Enclave Premium FWD – White Frost Tricoat

If you have read this far and stared at those three impressive Enclaves, you’re obviously interested and intrigued. Let’s now take a deep dive into why the 2017 Buick Enclave is a hit with both parents and kids.

INTERIOR

MID-SIZE LUXURY SUV

We’ve all been in that pickle where we need to load up our car or small SUV with members of the little league team or with suitcases for that family vacation but we can’t jam everyone and everything in. So we end up taking both family vehicles, wasting gas and contributing to the traffic nightmare of our local city.

Like a superhero, the 2017 Buick Enclave has come to save the day.

MID-SIZE LUXURY SUV

The 2017 Buick Enclave is a wide-open, crossover SUV that comfortably seats 7 passengers…that’s mom, dad, and the entire starting 5 of the little league basketball team! The second row riders will appreciate the elevated seating and generous legroom. These second-row captain’s chairs bend, fold, and flip like a gymnast, allowing for easy maneuverability. Even with the third-row bench, the 2017 Buick Enclave allows for 23 cubic ft. of cargo space, perfect for lugging groceries, equipment, and suitcases. This cargo space is vastly multiplied to 115 cubic ft. of storage room when the second and third rows are folded down.

As much as the kiddos will love the extra space and wiggle-room, the adults will appreciate the interior beauty of the 2017 Buick Enclave. The upscale dash, the wood-trim, and the soft-touch materials make for a beautiful aesthetic. Other interior amenities that adults will appreciate include:

  • The IntelliLink touch-screen display
  • Brushed chrome accents
  • Available leather-appointed seating
  • Available heated and cooled front seats
  • Available heated steering wheel
  • Available 8-way power-adjustable front seats

Whether it’s listening to music or enjoying a family conversation, Enclave families will appreciate QuietTuning™ technology which blocks and absorbs vibrations and noise thanks to acoustic laminated glass and triple door sealing.

EXTERIOR

MID-SIZE LUXURY SUV

Parents appreciate a bold, handsome vehicle, but so do kids. Young teenagers don’t want Mom or Dad picking them up from a friend’s house in some ten-year old, scratched up sedan. The 2017 Buick Enclave has the looks the entire family will be proud of.

Robust at 202 inches in length, the 2017 Enclave is an impressive sculpture to behold, with its chrome accents, LED lighting accents, 19-inch alloy wheels, and automatic xenon headlights.

MID-SIZE LUXURY SUV

Parents will be thankful for the rear power liftgate that lifts with the simple touch of a button. Second row riders will be in awe of the available power moonroof that gives them that awesome open-air breeze and view. Other drivers will be envious when they look in their rearview mirrors and see that iconic Buick waterfall grille.

PERFORMANCE

Like all Buick vehicles, the Enclave provides a stellar and impressive performance in:

  • Steering
  • Braking
  • Handling
  • And has a smooth and quiet ride, that all riders will appreciate, thanks to its dual-flow suspension and its StabiliTrak technology with traction control.

The 2017 Buick Enclave is powered by a 288hp 3.6L V-6. It comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. (Gear up with the available all-wheel drive on Leather and Premium models.) For drivers with towing needs, the Enclave can be equipped to tow up to 4,500 pounds.

SAFETY

MID-SIZE LUXURY SUV

Families must consider a vehicle’s safety features when in the market for a crossover SUV. Parents need to trust that their SUV can withstand damaging impacts, as well as provide the latest technological safety features. Thankfully, the 2017 Buick Enclave is synonymous with safety and control.

The Buick Enclave has earned the top score by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests in the following categories: moderate-overlap front impact test, head restraint, roof strength, side-impact. It also was awarded a top five-star rating by the government for overall crash protection.

At over 200 inches long, weighing in at over 4,700 pounds, the 2017 Buick Enclave is equipped with the following safety features:

  • Anti-lock brakes
  • Airbags for all three rows
  • The first-of-its-kind front-center airbag
  • Rearview camera
  • Stability and traction control
  • OnStar System that includes on-demand roadside assistance and automatic crash notification

You can enhance your 2017 Buick Enclave’s already stellar safety capability with the following available safety features (some of which are standard in the Leather and Premium Enclaves):

  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Side Blind Zone Alert
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Forward Collision Alert

TECHNOLOGY

Today’s parents grew up in a time when technology was not part of our everyday driving/riding experience. We manually pushed buttons deep into the dashboard to get to our favorite radio stations; we engaged in the license-plate game on road trips; we gazed out into nature while riding in the back. Today’s children couldn’t and wouldn’t last three seconds in that “boring,” technology-free environment. Buick knows this and has equipped its 2017 Enclave with all the technological perks and gadgets that are now standard in today’s driving culture.

The Buick IntelliLink system is the standard bearer of today’s automobile technology. Parents and children can demand the Enclave to play music or make calls thanks to voice recognition capabilities.

Children will go bonkers for the available 4G Wi-Fi Hotspot that works for up to seven devices. Parents will go bonkers for the available Navigation feature that works with the IntelliLink system to provide voice-activated directions and real-time traffic info.

For those lengthy vacation trips, the back two rows will be amazed by the available rear-seat entertainment system that includes an 8-inch flat screen, a DVD player, and surround sound.

It only took a few thousand years, but finally there is one thing parents and children can agree on…the 2017 Buick Enclave is the only mid-size luxury SUV that should be parked in the driveway. Priced below many of its luxury SUV competitors, the 2017 Buick Enclave is the overwhelming choice for today’s families.
