2024 GMC Sierra HD Models

GMC trucks have a longstanding reputation for combining power and luxury. And after seeing the 2024 Sierra HD models, that combination has never been represented more powerfully. Here are a few of the many reasons to consider a new Sierra HD:

Unmatched Power and Towing Capacity

One of the most impressive aspects of the new 2024 Sierra HD models is the power they bring to the table. With a new 6.6-liter V8 engine that delivers up to 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque, these trucks are a force to be reckoned with.   Towing a trailer, hauling a heavy load, navigating rough terrain — you can trust the Sierra HD to handle the job with ease. In fact, it boasts a best-in-class towing capacity of up to 36,000 pounds when properly equipped. That's not something you'll find in any other truck on the market!

Advanced Technology Features

It's not all about brawn with these new models. They also come packed with advanced technology features that make them a pleasure to drive. Comfort and Convenience Features

Comfort and convenience become top priorities when you spend long hours on the road or at the job site. Luckily, the 2024 Sierra HD models offer plenty of perks to enhance your driving experience.   From the available heated and ventilated front seats to the Bose premium sound system, everything has been designed to help you stay comfortable and entertained on the go. And when it's time to get to work, you'll appreciate the available power up/down tailgate and the industry-first power-up/-down tailgate with hitch view, which makes hooking up a trailer a breeze.

Let’s dive into a bit more of what we know about this wonder of a pickup:

Heavy-Duty Meets Off-Road

The Sierra HD AT4X is no ordinary truck. GMC introducing the AT4X package in the 2022 Sierra 1500, but the 2024 model year is the first we’ll see it in an HD model. This beast is designed to overcome the adversities of the trail with its factory-installed 1.5" suspension lift, significantly enhancing ground clearance. In other words, it will have your back as you navigate those rocky terrains!   What's more, the Sierra HD AT4X effortlessly handles tough work both on- and off-road. It boasts an impressive 18,500-pound max trailering capacity, so it won’t break a sweat when hauling a heavy load or pulling your adventure gear.

Why Choose the AT4X?

You might be wondering, "What sets the AT4X apart from the rest?" Well, the AT4X is not just powerful; it's specifically engineered to tackle off-road obstacles. Its suspension travel measures 9.8 inches at the front and 10.6 inches at the rear. That's some serious flex for overcoming those intense backcountry hurdles!   If you're as excited as we are about the 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X, keep an eye out for it this fall. Don't just read about it — experience it for yourself by scheduling a test drive with Liberty Buick GMC. Life's an adventure. Make sure you have a truck that's up for the challenge!

2024 GMC Sierra AT4X vs. Standard AT4

There’s a lot of buzz going on around the upcoming Sierra HD models, especially the all-new AT4X. But you may wonder what the difference is between the AT4X and standard AT4. Here’s a quick breakdown of the two options:

Power Under the Hood

When it comes to raw power, both models are impressive. The standard AT4 comes with a 6.6L V8 gas engine that's nothing to scoff at. But the AT4X takes it up a notch with the same 6.6-liter gas V8 but delivers 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. So if you're all about power, the AT4X might be your go-to.

Built for Adventure

For those who love off-roading, the AT4X has a steeper approach angle (31.6 versus 29.8 degrees) compared to the standard AT4. What does this mean for you? It means your AT4X is better equipped to tackle steep inclines without damaging the front of your truck. That's one less thing to worry about as you navigate the road less taken!

Price Considerations

While both trucks are sturdy and powerful, they do come with different price tags. If you're budget-conscious, keep in mind that the AT4X starts at $83,695, while the standard AT4 starts at $70,995. Of course, your final price will depend on the specific configuration and upgrades you choose.

Additional Features

The AT4X also comes with a 1.5-inch suspension lift, making it ready to face the adversities of the trail. Whether it's a rocky terrain or a muddy path, the AT4X is up to the challenge.   Both the standard AT4 and AT4X are excellent choices. However, if you're looking for more power, better off-road capabilities, and don't mind spending a bit extra, the AT4X could be the perfect fit. On the other hand, the standard AT4 should serve you well if you want a solid, reliable truck without some of the extra bells and whistles.   Remember that the best truck for you depends on your needs and lifestyle. Take your time, do your research, and choose the one that feels right for you!

The truck is also packed with advanced technology including a head-up display, camera-based rear-view mirror, retractable running boards, and the GM Super Cruise with trailering for semi-autonomous driving capabilities. The starting price for this luxurious and powerful truck is $91,900.

The Importance of Having a Heavy-Duty Pickup Truck

A good pickup truck is more than just a car — it’s a reliable tool you can use for work or for fun. At Liberty Buick GMC, we understand just how important it is to have a pickup truck that you can trust. That’s why we only sell trucks that shine in dependability.

Safety

First and foremost, having a dependable pickup truck means that your safety is prioritized. A heavy-duty pickup truck is designed to withstand tough conditions on and off the road, so you can rest assured you’re secure while driving. Whether you’re towing a heavy load or driving through harsh terrain, you’ll want a vehicle that can handle the job without putting you at risk.

Durability

A heavy-duty pickup truck is built to last, and investing in one can save you money in the long run. Dependable pickup trucks can perform for many years through extreme weather, rough terrains, and carrying heavy loads. They’re less likely to break down or require repairs. And, in case your truck does need repairs, it’s easier to find quality parts and services for a popular model like the GMC Sierra.

Versatility

Having a dependable pickup truck means that you can enjoy superior versatility for both work and play. For example, you can use your truck for transporting goods, towing heavy loads, or even as a vacation vehicle for an off-road adventure. A reliable truck can handle multiple uses and terrains, so it’s an excellent investment for anyone who wants a vehicle that does than one thing.

Resale Value

Investing in a heavy-duty pickup truck is a wise move if you ever plan on reselling your truck. Dependable vehicles are valued more and tend to have a better resale price than their cheaper counterparts. Trucks that provide years of dependable service retain their value, making them a better long-term investment.

Confidence

Lastly, having a dependable truck gives you added confidence. You don't have to worry about breaking down on your journey, meaning you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about your truck's performance. A reliable pickup can help you tackle any project with ease and provides an extra sense of security so you can focus on other things when on the road.

Wrapping Up

The upcoming 2024 GMC Sierra HD 2500 and 3500 models represent a new benchmark in heavy-duty trucks. The introduction of the all-new Sierra HD AT4X version, with its enhanced off-road capability and other features, further expands the lineup's appeal. These trucks aren't just workhorses; they offer advanced tech, comfort, and style that make them suitable for everyday use.   Whether you're towing large loads, venturing off the beaten path, or simply driving around town, GMC heavy-duty trucks offer unquestionable dependability to enhance your experience. The 2024 Sierra HD models continue the tradition of blending strength and sophistication, reaffirming that owning a reliable, heavy-duty truck can be both a practical decision and a personal indulgence!

The Sierra's advanced suspension system provides a smoother, more controlled ride, whether you're navigating city streets or tackling off-road trails. This refined handling translates to a more comfortable and confident driving experience compared to the often rougher ride of the F-150. The 2025 GMC Sierra offers a range of powertrain options tailored to different driving needs. The base model comes with a 2.7L TurboMax engine, delivering 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, making it a solid entry-level option. If you want diesel power, the Sierra is your go-to. Innovation at Your Fingertips GMC has invested heavily in integrating advanced technology into the Sierra, creating a connected and intuitive driving environment. The available ProGrade Trailering System, for instance, offers a suite of features that simplify towing, including hitch guidance, trailer sway control, and an in-vehicle trailering app. This system surpasses the F-150's trailering technology, providing a more seamless and stress-free towing experience. The Sierra's available MultiPro Tailgate is another innovation that sets it apart. This versatile tailgate offers six unique functions, including a primary gate load stop, an inner gate load stop, a full-width step, and even a Kicker MultiPro Audio System. This level of versatility and functionality is unmatched by the F-150’s tailgate offerings, providing a significant advantage for both work and recreational activities. Inside, the Sierra's available 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen and 12.3-inch diagonal driver information center create a modern and immersive cockpit. The intuitive interface and high-resolution displays provide easy access to navigation, entertainment, and vehicle information. The available Head-Up Display further enhances driver convenience, projecting key information onto the windshield for a safer and more focused driving experience. Luxury Interior and Comfort Both trucks offer high-end interior trims, but GMC focuses more on luxury, while Ford emphasizes functionality. 2025 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate: Features premium leather seating, real wood trim, a 16-way power-adjustable massaging driver’s seat, and a Bose premium sound system. 2025 Ford F-150 Limited: Includes high-end leather seats, a moonroof, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system, but does not offer massaging seats. The GMC Sierra elevates the pickup truck experience with its luxurious interior and premium amenities. Available features like leather-appointed seats, heated and ventilated front seats, and a premium Bose sound system create a refined and comfortable cabin. The Sierra's attention to detail is evident in every aspect of its interior design, from the high-quality materials to the ergonomic layout. The Sierra’s available Denali trim level showcases the peak of GMC luxury. The Denali’s exclusive features, like open-pore wood trim, unique leather seating surfaces, and advanced safety technologies, create a truly premium driving experience that far exceeds the F-150's comparable trims. The Denali’s unique styling and upscale amenities make it a statement of refined taste and discerning preference. Verdict: If luxury and comfort are your priorities, the Sierra Denali Ultimate is the superior choice. Safety and Confidence on Every Journey GMC prioritizes safety, equipping the Sierra with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies. Available features like forward collision alert, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking provide an extra layer of protection on the road. The Sierra's robust construction and advanced airbag system further enhance occupant safety. The Sierra's available HD Surround Vision and Rear Camera Mirror provide exceptional visibility, making maneuvering in tight spaces and navigating challenging terrain easier and safer. These advanced camera systems surpass the F-150’s camera offerings, providing clearer, more detailed views of the vehicle’s surroundings. Both trucks come with advanced safety features, including: GMC Sierra: Automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and an available 360-degree camera system. Ford F-150: Similar features plus adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and a trailer backup assist system. Electric, Diesel or Gas Powered? GMC has the Pickup Truck for You!

It’s Electric! GMC currently offers three options for Electric Vehicles (EV). In a growing market of Electric Vehicles in the United States, Liberty Buick GMC has three hard-working vehicles that can accommodate many needs. A brief history of electric vehicles (from www.energy.gov) “It’s hard to pinpoint the invention of the electric car to one inventor or country. Instead, it was a series of breakthroughs -- from the battery to the electric motor -- in the 1800s that led to the first electric vehicle on the road.” “In the early part of the century, innovators in Hungary, the Netherlands and the United States -- including a blacksmith from Vermont -- began toying with the concept of a battery-powered vehicle and created some of the first small-scale electric cars. And while Robert Anderson, a British inventor, developed the first crude electric carriage around this same time, it wasn’t until the second half of the 19th century that French and English inventors built some of the first practical electric cars.” “Here in the U.S., the first successful electric car made its debut around 1890 thanks to William Morrison, a chemist who lived in Des Moines, Iowa. His six-passenger vehicle capable of a top speed of 14 miles per hour was little more than an electrified wagon, but it helped spark interest in electric vehicles.” “Over the next few years, electric vehicles from different automakers began popping up across the U.S. New York City even had a fleet of more than 60 electric taxis. By 1900, electric cars were at their heyday, accounting for around a third of all vehicles on the road. During the next 10 years, they continued to show strong sales.” Over the years, electric vehicles fell in and out of favor-mostly out. But in recent years, there’s been a resurgence as they’ve become more reliable as well as powerful and fun to drive. Interested in taking your truck game up a notch? Cool Insider Info & New Tips About Your Favorite Cars, Trucks, and SUVs! New Sierra, Yukon, Acadia, Terrain & Canyon at Liberty GMC Charlotte, NC

Your Favorite Liberty Buick GMC Vehicles

Cool Insider Info & New Tips About Your Favorite Cars, Trucks, and SUVs! 2024 GMC Yukon Since the New GMC Yukon is one of the most popular SUVs on the road today, and has been this popular for some time now, creating a new Denali trim level might be the move that makes the 2024 GMC Yukon the most celebrated SUV in America. Here are a few of the more impressive features that come with the new Yukon Denali: Alpine Umber leather upholstery throughout the interior of the SUV 16-way power front seats, including a massage feature Open-pore wood trim running throughout 18-speaker Bose sound system with all the modern features Super Cruise Control, a hands-free, autonomous driving system that helps to keep you safe and on the road at all times There’s plenty here to be excited about in the 2024 Yukon Denali, but we had to try the massage seats. A few of Liberty’s technicians gave the seat a try, and it provided a great massage. Here’s how to adjust the intensity and type of massage you receive while on the road: Locate the Massage Adjustment button and turn it to the “on” position to start your massage If your vehicle has a multi-function Massage Adjustment control button, those sitting in the front seat will see a graphic displayed on the Infotainment screen of the type and intensity of their massage Select the massage function with the outer ring of the circular adjustment control on the side of the seat and you will see another graphic come up on your Infotainment screen Use the up and down arrow buttons on the face of the circle to select your massage type–as you click through them, you will see corresponding images displayed on the screen Use the forward and rearward arrow buttons to control the intensity of your massage 2024 GMC Aca dia This year's new features to the GMC Acadia include updated LED headlamps and a sleek black redesign of the vehicle's rear. Also, 20-inch wheels and an AutoSense Power Liftgate with Presence Recognition have been added to the Acadia Elevation trim as a standard feature. There are plenty more features to consider when looking at any of the 2024 Acadia’s trim levels. Here are a few of Liberty Buick GMC’s staff favorites: Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking–when driving below 50 miles an hour, this feature will alert you if there is the potential for a front-end collision, and it will also automatically apply emergency braking if the driver does not respond quickly enough. Safety Alert Seat–this specialized seat vibrates and pulses at the bottom of the seat for various warnings. This is an option instead of having auditory or visual warnings and is a great way to keep you safe when you have a car full of talkative kids, or you feel like blasting your favorite song. Front and Rear Park Assist–Park Assist detects objects or people around you when you are driving at low speeds. Typically, it gets used when parking or navigating through congested areas. We have found this feature to improve even the worst of parallel parkers. High-Definition Surround Vision–this digital bird’s-eye view comes at high definition and gives a crystal-clear image of the area around your vehicle when driving at low speeds. The image of your area pops up on the Infotainment display, helping you to avoid objects and perfectly park in just about any spot. 2024 GMC Terrain The 2024 GMC Terrain is a crossover, but it’s as tough as an SUV. The brand-new Terrain comes with all-wheel-drive, which is an important move for GMC because it defines this particular crossover as something a step above others on the market. All wheel drive offers more power than front-wheel-drive, but it doesn’t guzzle as much gas as four-wheel-drive, so it keeps you on the road longer. This year, the new GMC Terrain SLT has a 4-cylinder Turbo, 1.5-liter engine. This particular engine can push 175 horsepower and offers 203 feet of torque. The 2024 Terrain ensures a longer-than-normal lifespan for a crossover, and it has enough power to pack a punch and get any job done. Liberty Buick GMC customers are already finding the 2024 Terrain a great in-between that still gives enough oomph for off-roading capabilities and the ability to handle chaotic weather situations. There are tons of reasons to place yourself inside the 2024 GMC Terrain, but its capability to operate as a high-level, luxury crossover that comes with plenty of trim levels and add-on features is the 2024 Terrain SLT’s biggest selling point. What GMC does extremely well, besides making the toughest trucks, crossovers, and SUVs around, is provide customers with a multitude of options–and people love options. It is a great feeling to have some say in what you buy, especially when the purchase is as large and important as that of a new family vehicle. Come test drive the 2024 Terrain and see for yourself! GMC Sierra Pickup Trucks One aspect of GMC pickups that draws much attention is their luxurious power: a base powertrain of a 10-speed automatic transmission, 401-horsepower, 6.6-liter, V-8 engine; or the 10-speed automatic transmission, 470-horsepower Duramax turbo-diesel with a V-8 engine–with 22,500 pounds of maximum conventional towing. America’s favorite truck is also loved for its innovative trailer assist features: Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, Transparent Trailer View, plus adaptive cruise control with trailering. But for seasoned Sierra truck drivers, these tout-worthy features are nothing new. Whether you are battling traffic going between Matthews and Charlotte, towing a boat to Lake Wylie, or enjoying a joyride through Crowders Mountain Drive, the Sierra is your truck. GMC’s largest pickup gets a slight facelift in 2024. There’s also a revised powertrain that allows for more towing capability. The power and torque levels of the 6.6-liter Duramax turbocharged diesel V-8 have been pumped up to 470 horsepower and it offers 975 pound-feet of torque. Another big change is the replacement of the 401-horsepower, 6.6-liter V-8 gas engine’s automatic transmission with a (Allison-certified) 10-speed automatic transmission–one that is usually reserved for diesel engines, so you know it’s tough. What’s more, there is a new Denali Ultimate trim that comes in the 2500 HD and the 3500 HD that displays a higher level of luxury than any other trim level. The Denali Ultimate includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and door panels; a 16-way power-adjustable front heated and cooled messaging front seat (both driver and passenger) that includes intricate leather stitching that creates a topographic map of Alaska’s Mount Denali. 2024 GMC Canyon New technology and safety features have been added to the 2024 Canyon, and the all-new GMC Canyon has already received a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. During a year with a lack of innovation and design features in other trucks like the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier, the 2024 Canyon is this year’s best in class. In particular, the Canyon’s Elevation base trim level offers a mid-size pickup truck with a manufacturer-suggested retail price of $36,000. The Elevation trim comes with a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine that provides 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The 2024 Canyon Elevation is one of the most popular test drives here at Liberty Buick GMC, and the following specs are a good reason why: 3-inch diagonal center touchscreen 8-inch diagonal digital driver information center Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility LED projector headlights with Intella Beam LED daytime running lights LED turn signals 2-inch lift Gloss black and satin black front grille When considering the 2024 GMC Canyon, don’t be thrown off by the term “mid-size.” When it comes to the Canyon, this term does not mean mid-level, or sub-par. “Mid-size” is not an accurate term of presence either, as the Canyon has a V-6 engine with over 300 horsepower and a bed of up to six feet long. So, you can call the Canyon whatever you like, but this mid-size machine matches up well with any size truck.
